Welcome to the forum! :hi:

Is that tank going to be freshwater, or saltwater?
Hi thanks for the welcome ☺ this is planned to be a low tech planted nano shrimp tank ;)

I'd be happy if you and others followed my journey here, this is mostly a place for me to have a organized place to keep track of the build and its progress...

The Nano Aquarium will sit inside my entertainment unit shelf... I actually had to pull the backing off the shelf to get this to slid into place lol

Here is everything from the unboxing going forward so far...

Sounds good! Should be a perfect tank for it as well.

That’s gonna look super good. That tank is beautiful.

Built a frame to support this tank underneath.

Nearly finished the aquascape, just need some sand for the right side area and maybe some small seashells...

It's my 1st aquascape in like 10 years...

The "gravol" is made up of:
Fluval Plant and Shrimp Stratum
Crushed Pumice
Crushed Lava Rock
Crushed Akadama
River Stones

In the back left side where the plants are going is mostly the Stratum...

The gravol "Mix" is to allow Benifical Bacteria to grow And help with filtering the water, same as the plants... will be heavily planted and will be running for atleast 3 months before any Livestock are introduced... After all we are building a mini ecosystem...

The mini water pump is the only "tech" going into this besides the lights. So I'll be getting low/med light plants for sure compiling a list and researching each one before I make a finalized choice.

No need for a heater as my home is generally pretty dam warm, like 22 to 25°c in the winter and summer.

Just Ordered some plants.

1x Potted Anubias nana 'Mini Kirin'
1x Potted Anubias 'Golden Coin'
1x Potted Abubias Barteri var. Nana
1x Potted Hygrophila Corymbosa

Hopefully once I pull some of them apart I'll have enough to cover the tank with loads of plants....

I also ordered API Perfect Start Kit to get the tank cycling started and some Shrimp Safe ThriveS for the plants...
