New Humidity gauge

I'm going to hava Java Fern and Java moss attatched to the roots and they will be partly emersed. The filter flow will be directed towards the beach area to mimick waves, eventually I'm planning on creating a sump and an overflow box so I can create a tide. I'll have a go at keeping some other plants in here, most of them coming from the pinned topic 'planting brackish water aquaria'. I might even experiment a bit with mangroves, maybe.

Show us all of the pics Corin, I will when I go to London Aquarium.

Today I bought a humidity gauge from a reptile/fish store.

Hey, sorry to say this now (only just found the thread) but i have alot of reptiles, 2 of which require high humidity.The gauges (round things) are usless for humidity.I bought 2 and they both broke within a week.Digital probe max/min are the best.This is my exact one- http/cgi.ebay.co.uk/Digital-Thermo-Hygro...1QQcmdZViewItem .It has the max min settings on it aswell and battery life is basically infinet .You will find that the guage will be inaccurate and will probably get stuck very soon.Also if anyone is looking to keep simialer things to mudskippers these filters are great http/cgi.ebay.co.uk/INTERNAL-FILTER-5FT-...1QQcmdZViewItem.I use them on my CWD swimming bowl and discus aquarium

Thanks, I will look into them, first I'll see how my gauge does and if it's bad I'll perhaps think of gettin the one you suggested. It is already 75% humid in the room it's in so I think it should definitely be humid enough once it has a lid.

The pictures from London Aquarium were a little disappointing. I only have a simple camera and the mudskippers were too far away to get a decent shot of. I'll post them anyway and there are some videos.

UPDATE

I know have the Mudskippers. In the end I didn't get dwarf species, but the common Periopthalmus barbarus. I got 2 of them from Swallow aquatics in Essex. One is smaller about 8cm and the other about 10-12cm. They seem to be doing OK and our pretty active. So far I've fed them on crickets and bloodworm.
