My Leather

ok so how long dos it usually take a leather to settle in a new aquarium?
when i put mine in it came right out but has been closed ever since (about 3 days) have spoken to my LFS and they seem to think it could take a few weeks for it toi settle, does anyone have any experience with this?

thats what was worrying me that everythin else is looking good and really heathy but the leather just hasnt come other than the day it was introduced, think they are very much like women very pleasing to the eye but so very difficult to understand

Heh, yep.

Typically leathers will stay more or less closed and contracted for a few days, then slough off a layer of slime and explode into vibrance. No worries.

cheers lynden have been worried about it as had one in the past that just ended up dean and was worried that this was going the same way, even though everyone told me other wise i think previous experience worried me!

Some advice that was given to me a while back was putting the leather under stronger flow, that will help blow off all the muck it's trying to shed.

ok starting to get a little concerned as its coming up for a week since my leather did anything no real change in appearance since last pic! how ling can it take for this to sort itself?

just loked back at the pics i took when i was first worried about my leather opening and have realised that the it is now leaning right over and not upright, I take it once it has recovered fully it will sort itself out? it still isnt fully out but atleast the heads are starting to come out slighty which im taking as a good sign?

Definitely, maybe try feeding now that the heads are out?
