Leathers have very tiny polyps. They probably do feed but only on bacteria and similarly small organisms. Feeding them is only feeding nitrogen bacteria and 'pods.
Ok so heres an updated pic for you, just a little concerned as there appears to be a small tear in the surface of the leather which is clearly visable over the back, I have taken to moving it up in the tank as i'm unsure if it was getting to little light.
As these corals are easy to frag im guessing the tear will repair itself? not sure what else to try to get it to come out fully so any suggestionswould be appreciated as I have already put it in a higher flow which seems to have made a difference but still not where i want it to be and as said before I have moved it higher up in the tank even though my understanding is that leathers dont need a masive amount of light, take a look at the pic and see what you think.
Also I am considering raising it up even further but the only place it can go is slightly to the right of the pussey coral in the background in the pic below but am unsure if this will be to close?
