My Husband Is Going To Kill Me!

My husband hates going to the local pet shops with me because not only do I have to inspect every tank (and one place I often go to has over 50) I also have to check out the birds and reptiles as well. NIce that you got another fish for your collection. I keep my hubby sweet on my collection of various pets by having such excuses as "I need this other ... so that I have a pair" or "such and such needs a group to be happy" and if these fails I have already worked out where the new additon is going to fit in without having to get more tanks or bird aviary. The more enclosures is what really freaks him out not so muh the numbers that I have.

Same here. I thought he was going to be quite angry about setting this third tank to use, but he just seems rather resigned. Maybe bargaining on the puffer tank helped ease things a bit.

Surprise darling, look I bought you a male betta, but don't worry, ill look after him for you

Works a treat (although my partner knows my cover ups to a T now and we aren't even married yet  ). Where are the photos?
I've warned my partner that I'll be getting a white male betta soon and some cherry shrimp (which prompted and oh no). He know's I'm looking at getting a 4ft tank (he doesn't know I'm thinking of getting two :look: ) but he was quiet helpful and said he knows the full setups can be expensive and he'll make me a stand for it and a hood and try to track down this that and the other *pats his head*...now I just have to train him to realise we can't have cichlids in any of my tanks despite him liking them better than tropicals...hmmm

Photos will be posted shortly. He's rather pale right now, so I'm trying to give him a bit of time to adjust. He's certainly not a stunner like I've seen other forum members post, but he just sort of looked at me and floated hopefully to the top of his container and I knew he had to come home with me.

As far as my husband knowing my tricks...we've been together for ten years. There isn't much he *doesn't* know about me

You must post photos of your white betta when you get him, the whites are my absolute favorite. :good:

Edited to add: My husband pretends he doesn't care about my fish, but I've caught him checking on my new apple snail, so I'm not sure that's the case!

Here he is. No name as of yet.

My dad "doesn't" care about my fish but he loves my female bettas and quite often is found watching my boys and snails :). My boyfriend likes his fish but he never bothers with mine that much - he decided one day to say hello to my fish, Paddy. So he said hello to Paddy who was sulking at the back of the tank and not paying attention; boyfriend turned around and Paddy swam to the front of the tank flaring at him, I laughed, boyfriend turned around and Paddy swam away and then kept flaring at him...he's a clever fishy :)

I second the name Casper :)
