The first few are gorg!!!! Could you possibly fly some over to me please?

Alessa x.

they are lovely, they the ones you bred?

Yep... all my produce and in this respect, I'd like to get the opinion of Helter and/or Oldman..... insofar as showable qualities of esp the first 2.... I know they are experienced in this field, having attended a number of guppy shows.

WOW the first two have an amazing shaped tail. Good spread and little stepping, the angles match each side.
You could almost have them to a show quality.

Only down is, if they was show fish is the colour needs to be more even throug the tail.

Thanks for that Helter... & then... how's about the dorsal of the 5th one.... (and general composure).... Be brutal (if needs)... also.... which of those featured have the best characteristics??

The dorsal looks a bit long to me on that one with the half black body. I am no guppy judge and never compete with any fancy fish, but have been trying to learn a bit about it from people who do participate in shows. If I am not mistaken, they deduct points for fish that have trouble "carrying" their tails well. That might give you a few points off on the first fish you posted unless you just happened to catch him turning. I really love the way all of them look but am trying hard to remember what I have only partly learned about judging guppies. I recently read a thread on judging and judging points but don't remember where it was. It could have even been on a link from here. I don't recall where I saw it but this link will get you to some show standards.

I am a wild type breeder first so I look mostly for vibrant good health in any fish before anything else. I would make a terrible fancy fish judge if for no other reason.

This is what your looking for

Notice your half black the dorsal fin looks not raise at the start, your looking for it to only creap into the tail but not to far.
The same fish is slightly bent which it would be down pointed for.
Hard to tell from tha pic but it looks like the colour fade out where judges woulf look for consistant colour in the dorsal and tail.
