Just rescaped my tank tank wanted to give the fish a bit more swimming space as the plants grew quite a lot so stripped them out and this is how it is now. These photos have all been through photoshop some are better than others got a bit tiered after a while might post plain photos later on but quite like these for now :)

Hi just taken these, had them maybe 3 months. They have grown a bit but one is still as small as I got them at I presume female yet ironically seems to be head of the pack most of the time. Anyway here are the pics let me know what you think :)

that "nic" is really nice, whats the full name?

what size tank?

im just asking as im curious, love the tank and all the not so little fishies :D

Thanks guys :)

First thing to point out about this tank is that it will be over stocked when the fish are adult and some fish like the geophagus will outgrow this tank but I am planning to get a 6x2x2 pretty soon.

The nic is a Hypsophrys nicaraguensis or Nicuraguan Cichlid, males get much bigger than females but females stay around 5-6 inches can be a bit aggressive but mine has been good so far :) Id consider my tank the minimum for her esp when shes full grown.

got a bit of a soft spot for them

Very serene pictures! Some brilliantly captured images of rather stunning fish :)

Thanks guys :) Appreciate all the nice comments, I put a lot of effort into my tank so getting good feedback is a massive boost for me :)

That is really well made, I'm loving the Geophagus in particular (I'd love a tank full of them!).

Great photos too!

Just out of curiosity (not having ever kept anything larger (cichlid wise) than a Firemouth, are there 'any' small shoaling fish that could be placed with them in that tank?

Thanks again guys :)

-Nurglespuss - Ive not got any small shoaling fish as such but I have 6 Turqoise Rainbows and 8 Annostomus Ternetzi which are a type of headstander. Again just to say this tank is only a temp fix I want to go much bigger but since I have slow growing species mostly I stocked it like this for now.
