Steveuk - Your fish died due to poisoning! Not due to the other fish.
I even explained the symptoms!
White on the second fantails fins could be whitespot. Google it for pictures. It will have been brought on by bad water quality, as bad water lowers immunity and makes fish very prone to things like whitespot. You will need to treat the condition if it had whitespot and also need to improve it's conditions.
I told you exactly what to do water change wise. You seem to have not read/ignored this.
I also mentioned at least once what you could do with the goldfish you currently have (you also didn't read/ignore this).
I also gave you exact instructions on how to prepare the peas for feeding, I didn't mention how many though and I'd try it with 1 garden pea sized amount, then a second if that was eaten. And if it doesn't eat them then that's that, you can't force feed it. But you could switch to a more suitable sinking goldfish food.
It seems like wasting my time (ie. you aren't reading what I'm saying) so I really don't see the point in me posting anymore.
ps. You've also been told what size goldfish grow to. These 'normal' ones you say you're going to buy if the fancies die are the ones that grow to over a foot. Or rather should.
The fancies aren't dying cause there was anything wrong with them in the first place, they came to you healthy so please don't blame it on the fish and avoid fancies for that reason.

First they will become quiet and then they will start gasping at the surface.

The only way to remove it is to do lots of big water changes. You may or may not save them.
Now you don't need to understand ppm (parts per million), but just think of it as concentration (as that's what it is).
Lets say your ammonia is at 2ppm (which is deadly, though yours will probably be higher).
You need to get it down to less than 0.25 for them to stand a chance of recovering.
If it was 2ppm you'd need to do...
1 x 80% water change, ammonia would now be 80% less than it was (as you just removed 80% of the water). So ammonia would be 0.4ppm
Then you'd need to do 50% to get it down to 0.2ppm

Seriously...we all told you what would happen by keeping them in those tanks! Well now you're actually seeing it happening. I know I can't tell you what to do, but please rehome those fish.
If you can't take them back to the shop then advertise them here on the classifieds or on aquarist classifieds or on gumtree...just please get them into suitable accommodation.

If you try it on some deshelled peas the fibre will hopefully help remove any blockages. To get the pea ready just stick it in a microwave for a few seconds till it's soft and then pop the fleshy inside bit of the pea out and feed them that.
