 i dont get it i just got him from the store last weekend i had him in the breeding tank with his gf in a hurricane glass,, waitin a week or two so they can get ready, and when i got up this morning he was dead! smae food as the others water is right and the ct female that is now quarinteened in the breeding tank by her self seems great. i looked him over and found a strange yellowish bump under his scales.......on the bottom of his belly, but only on the left side,,, tumor ?? or somthing my other fish can catch? very dissapointed he was a great looking purple ct small but i though he was just young,, he seemed healthy when i bought him........

that sucks..why dont you go post and ask in the emergency section...might be good to know if it was something that the rest could catch...egghhhh.

give me a call later bye

Fish are just like any other animal including ourselves, sometimes these things just happen. What makes it harder is that fish really can't communicate to us what they're feeling very well, or we can't tell when they are. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope that whatever it was it's not contagious.

:rip:

sorry about your fish. If you hadnt had him long it could quite easily be stress. You dont know what has happened to them on the way to the shop, and in the shop. It is perhaps better to wait a while before you try to breed them :good:
