My Fish Constantly Sick With Ich

i was wndering what to do i got new fish a while ago and they got ich but i figured there new bound to happen w.e but now i dont know if it didnt all get cured cause this is like the third bout of ich in my tank what should i do??? i am currently treating them again i got a new ich treatment called super ich made by api i cant give the full dose for my tank cause my fish dont have scales so i gave 2/3s it requires a4 day treatment 1 does every 48 hours if a third dose is required i need to remove 25% of water i thought they are supposed to prevent secondary infections should i sue for false advertisment lol any help is welcome

Note that ich can be treated only while the parasite is free-swimming, or in other words the disease cannot be cured while it is in white spot form on the fish body. Keep on doing routine water changes and you’re doing right with 4 days of treatment as the life cycle of ich is at least 4 days. But I would recommend you continue the treatment as long as 7 days with 2 days of medication freq (3-4 times in a week). I also would recommend bringing up the temp to 27-28C but improve the aeration if and when you do it. I never used api before but I can assure you virtually all such medicals have the identical formula.

By the way, if you have a running chemical filtration such as active carbon, zeolite etc.., remove it during the treatment.

if it comes back after this medication then use copper to treat it. Run copper in the tank for 2 weeks and you will get rid of it permanently.

The full life cycle of ich can be 12-14 days, so consider that as the asbolute bare minimum of time you should be treating for.
