My Filter Bust.....

As the title says, my filter has broken, it comes at a very bad timing, infact its timing couldn't be any worse!!! Heres my situation!!

About 3-4months ago i was in hospital and i was having tests, and the hospital discovered that i need to have an operation, one that doesn't come free on the NHS, so the operation is costing quite a high amount therefor, replacing a filter is the last thing on my mind, especially with the cost.

My tank is a 180L 4foot tank, (no warranty on the filter) i have a tank full of fish, 27 guppies, 10 mollies, 4 corys, and 20-25 baby guppy fry. What can i do to stop these dying?? It could be weeks, even up to 2months before i can afford a new filter.

Iv got a small filter for a 20L tank, which iv put in the main 180L tank to try and reduce the load (i know this will hardly touch it, but ive done it anyway.)

What would be the cheapest way, even if its temporary, to get my water cleaned/reduce deaths amongst my tank!

Funnily enough i was looking at the same video about 10 mins ago and thinking about giving it a go.... this looks reasonable i dont know why it wouldnt work though.

I got an all ponds solution 800lph for my 64 litre and its very strong and it was cheap

Im thinking of doing a few, as Ive got a powerful air pump with a number of outlets. Surely, if i put one at each end of the tank it'll do the job better?

I do think it'll work, its just my tank being so big, i don't think it'll be as effective
