The suggestion cropped up a while ago to to a tank full of albinos. I'd like to give it a trial run. I was going to get a 4/5 ish gallon tank and have 3 albino cories in. But, I want a 'centerpiece fish'. What can I have? Actually, I either want one or two largeish fish (I mean, largish for that tank, eg. 2-3 inches) or a few smaller ones. The requirements are that it/they are completely white or albino. I would get a betta, but I haven't seen a white one. I could get a couple of the more 'white' honey gouramis, but is there anything better?

You could go for a few Fish from the White Colors:

White Widows
Blushing White Widows
Albino Paradise Gourami
Opaque Female/Male Bettas
Albino Corys - Already mentioned
Albino Neons
Blind Cave Fish
Albino Buenos Ares
Silver/White Mollies
Balloon Silver Mollies

How big is the tank? if its big enough you could try an albino plec, there's many albino plecs of many different types.

Aha! *smacks head* You can easily get white mollies, can't you... duh... Anyway, out of that, all I can fit in are the mollies. Hmm...

Mollies are the most common and the albino neons are nice,i personally love blind cave fsh i think theyre soooo cool ad id love one but i know nothing about them or what size tank they need!

Albino neons are pretty uncommon. I think, anyway. Are they the lu-something ones? If so, they are definately uncommon. And blind cave fish are just a kind of tetra I think, never seen them around.

How big is the tank though? you can get albino guppys although they are quite rare, if the tanks big enough you could try an albino bristlenose plec...

I said :) Its about 4.5 gallons. So not big enough for a common plec, and I can't find any albino BN's.

albino oscar :p

im afraid a 4.5 is too small for even albino cories

why not go to a 20 or 15 as your options would be widerr and you could get tetras :)

DD

4.5gals is not big enough for mollys im afraid- they grow to 3inchs and need at least a 10gal as they need lots of swimming space, you could fit a small albino guppy or some kind of tetra but nothing else that exceeds 1inch...

I agree with dwarf dude, you'd be able to expand your options alot even if you just got a 10gal, but at less than 5gals all you could put is a betta and maybe a snail in it..

Oh yeah... I keep forgetting how big mollies get. Pfft, why does the only commonish white fish I can get gwt massive? Well, massive for a livebearer anyway. And I don't really want guppies, too fragile. Especially albinoy ones that wil have been inbred loads.
