Neat looking fish. You have a pretty good collection going. I never see these fish in stores.

stunning . i love geos got a couple of surinamensis myself . amazing how they turn flat sand substrate into a mini terrain with mounds of sand here and there .

They are fun to watch but also demanding...IMO they need frequent and large scale WC

since i got my 2 i just keep up with my usual weekly 40% change . all seems to be well. altho having said that thats quite a lot of sand sifting with all those fish bet they kick up a fair old mess

Right...that's what I meant to say....there's usually very little "waste" to siphon out during water change in my tanks .... all chewed up (yikes) and homogenized into the water....

The balzaniis are beautiful...if i wasnt working on a breeding project then I would definitely have a group of about 10 of these guys. What size tank do you have them in?

No they are in three different tanks - a 220, a 120, and a 90. I don't think they'll get confused - they are better at identifying fish than us

Just moved to a 90. May have to thin down later but so far so good. They are extremely peaceful fish.

What are you breeding? Looks like we are pretty close - I'm in Athens .
