My Diamond Tetras Had A Baby!

Imgaine my shock when I was feeding community tank and I see this clear 1cm spec in shape of a diamond tetra swimming above my java fern . I never seen a baby fish in my tank before and my tank is 50% livebearers. He looks to be a fighter, a few fish have tried to eat him and he escaped and a male cherry barb seems to be defending him

Anything I can do to help improve his odds of survival? Don't want to see my first baby eaten, he's not buch bigger than a adult brine shrimp.

If you have livebearers I would suspect it is more likley one of them. If you say its a diamond tetra because it is clear most fry are often clear when they are born.

He's 100% the shape of a diamond tetra, it's why doubly shocked and can just make out the red top of his eye that diamonds have.

oh wow thats pretty cool then will be interesting to see how he grows

If you get a livebearer breeding trap like the net ones, you could put him in there while he grows out for now.

I've managed to catch him in a breeding trap net. I put a bit of Javafern in there too. Will tetraprima mini granules be ok to feed him on?
