Thanks!  It made sense.  The powerhead cycles about 150 gallons an hour.  15 times the tank volume.

I'm with you there Nick ... I hate seeing filters and heaters in my tank. They are of course necessary but they are ugly things!
 
Nice tank Vethian and no matter how much I love my current stocking I still love platies. They were my first fish and I still love em to this day. Such little characters

Lovely little tank!  I like the sponge filter powerhead mod.  Very nice.  
 
Looks like 1M and 2F platies, and 3 male guppies (though one appears more 'endlerish'.)  A good stocking group... although the inevitable fry attack will be coming, and frequently.  Have you made plans for that?
 
 
 
I agree with Akasha though... I cut my teeth in fishkeeping as a youngster on platies, guppies, swordtails and mollies.  Still some of my favorite fish.
