Fish Fanatic
Hey if I got this far I can make it to the end.
The last betta I didn't mean that veil tail bettas were ugly I meant the babys would be ugly because they will be all dull colors since they were lfs fish.
People at big chain stores don't know squat they just hire people that are willing to scoop a fish out of a tank and feed it. So I would advise you to never follow any advice from a chain store.

While I certainly admire your optimism...
wow, what a scary situation. I cannot believe your parents even allowed you to spawn, with sooo little research! First of all, you were supposed to get your fry food weeks before the spawn ~ I had my cultures going 2 weeks before I even put the male and female together. If you use hard-boiled egg yolk, that IS doable but its a huge mess! You'll be syphoning constantly.
... good luck with the babies, you NEED to research like crazy right now to give them a chance at living.True, but all is not lost. Someone might have already posted this, but you can usually find packets of brine shrimp eggs at your LFS, Petsmart, Petco, etc. Set up a brine hatchery as soon as you can and hatch out some yummy baby brine shrimp for the fry! You should begin feeding them once they are two or three days old and free swimming, so if they're still eggs that gives you time to set up your hatchery and hatch a batch of BBSFirst of all, you were supposed to get your fry food weeks before the spawn

and whats wrong with the CORRECT advice I give on here. You all are saying that "oh a betta needs this a betta needs that" when its not true, they don't need a heater, they don't need a filter, and they don't need a 10g tank or a 5 gallon tank they can live on the bare minimum of a 1/2g tank with a fake plant for shelter. So either all of you stop breathing down my neck or I'll put on my sig that bettas LOVE 1/2g bowls and they don't need but a 50% water change once every 2 weeks.
I just read this. Can you just crush tropical flakes and put it on a toothpick and stick it in the water? (I didn't do that I'm just asking.)
Also I do know quite alot about bettas for your information.and whats wrong with the CORRECT advice I give on here.
