For the last 4 nights, my Betta has been acting out of character. He's normally wandering around all the time, exploring, not paying any attention to the telly which is 6 feet away from the tank, at a 45 degree angle to it.

When i've had the new series of South Park on the telly for the last 4 nights, the Betta has been lying down on one of my broadleafed plants and staring at the telly, going up to the surface every 5 mins or so for a gulp of air. When the adverts come on, he's bored and goes off for a wander, but he's back as soon as it starts again. Once South Park is finished, he's got no interest in the telly. I put 2 episodes on back to back, and the betta was watching for twice as long.

Not sure whether he's a fan of the bright cartoony colour scheme, the excessive bad language, or the comedy value.

Anyone else experienced this type of viewing behaviour?

My betta is the same.

He is definately into his cartonns including The Simpsons and Spongebob.

Other favourites include the weather forecast and live football. I don't know who he supports but if it is not Hibs then he might be going back to where we got him.

He never moved from his viewing position once during a documentary about Picasso.

I find it weird that they hate the adverts.

Mine like to watch Halo 1,2,3 and Halo Wars (video games) and when i watch tv or play a different game, they lose interest!

thats so cool but he cant watch tv because where I have my setup, there is no tv

Man I don't even have cable in there
