My 30 Gal. Cichlid Tank (Newvideo!)

Hey everyone just figured I'd show my cichlid tank now that the water conditions are under control. I added a few more friends tonight.

Thanks! I had my water tested today and everything was right on the money except the PH which was at 7.2. I got some crushed coral to take care of that and we are motorin'!

but why is the sand bumpy like some carpet in a room that was too small for the carpet?

Certain Cichlids like to burrow and dig....That is the result of my electric blue construction his cave.

That's great then you will notice a good difference when you get the crushed coral sorted

interesting look with the plants, since most cichlid tanks I see seem to use rocks only.

they were joking,

u asked how does he get in, (to his cave) and some fish just dig out places under objects, and make little burrows and caves.

Sorry it was a joke...lol. YEs they do dig and sort of burrow to get into their caves. Here are some new pics of the tank with a little bit of a different aquascape and a black background. I also added a Neon Blue Jewel and a Calaco.
