does anyone know where i might be able to get some? or anyone have them and know any thing important about keeping them?

There is A LOT to know about them.

They are peculiar fishes, need a very specific tank, with a wide beach where they'll spend much of their time, and brackish water. They are hardy, though. The african species, Periophtalmus barbarus, is widely traded, but is also the biggest and the most aggressive. Try getting the asian species, a bit more peaceful.

Neale Monks' pages on brackish water describes breafly some of the species: http://homepage.mac.com/nmonks/Projects/brackishfaq.html
Much more in his book: http://www.tfhpublications.com/fish/brackish-water-fishes.htm
Also search this same forum, mudskippers are very popular here.

Cheers

ill look into it thanks, i also wanted to have fiddler crabs with them having a half water with beach terrian

yep, way to go with skippers. It's been my dream aquarium for a long time. Check you choose a proper fiddler, in size, otherwise you may have conflicts.

If you choose a P Barbarus your fiddler will be a nice hearty meal as they are a natural prey species, some say that you can have Fiddlers with other mudskipper species but I have my doubts

Hi guys...

What do you feed your mudskippers?

Mudskippers are common from where I am. I hire little kids to catch me bag fulls of mudskippers... the sad thing though is that since they are wild-caught, they wont eat while in my tank.

whats a average price for mudskippers? i dont wanna be over charged and what else can be with them? i was thinking either the fiddler crabs or the firebelly toad cause their both half andhalf tank? but what other fish can be in the water area?

i have the fiddler crabs in the tank still looking where to get mudskippers what else like fish or anthing can go wuth the crabs right now?

My LFS has a mudskipper/fiddler crab tank on display, and the mudskippers are for sale. They took a reptile-terrarrium-waterfall-filter-beach thing that filters water through a waterfall, which flows into a river, down to the brackish water.

I would keep 2 females and a male Fiddler Crab on their own or a single Mudskipper on its own. Some claim to have success with fiddlers and the smaller Indian mudskippers but if you get a P. Barbarus then as soon as it gets large enough the fiddler will be breakfast.

i don't think toads can survive in brackish water and their toxicity would put me off putting them in with a predator like the mudskipper.
