MTS strikes again

in a small tank like that, your guppy population will decline after two or three generations, cause they eat themselves.

but yes, that male is very nice. id like to cross that with one of the females, and then have some of the female offsprings breed with some tuxes or some fancy black lyretails, might have some interesting results.

aha... you need loaches now!! :D Looks good so far!! :)
There aren't any loaches that would be happy living in a 5 gallon, are there? That would be neat, though. I'm thinking of ordering some dwarf crayfish for it, maybe, since I'm also planning to order some dwarf livebearers soon ;)
I had a crayfish in the summer i caught from a river...He ate guppies and goldfish as a main food so i probably would mix gupps and crayfish lol

That's ok, I don't plan on keeping the vast majority of offspring anyway. If I do the breeding experiment thing, I'll only be keeping the best of each set of fry for breeding, and I don't ever plan to have more than about 7 in a tank as small as a 5 gallon. I don't think I'll cross them out with fancy guppies, since I'm not actually interested in creating an interesting strain of my own... I just want to see what I can make "from scratch," so to speak :p

mwm: From what I've read, dwarf crayfish are non-predatory, so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the warning, though!
