Moving Tank To A New House

i have recently split from my girlfriend and i am taking my 4 ft 300ltr tank to my new place.

i am planning on draining it but leavign the sand in when i transport it.

do you think my friend and myself will be able to lift it and then up the stairs in the new place? we are both pretty strong.

has anyone done this?

My wife helped me lift my 320L (empty), so yours with the additonal sand should be manageable with a mate.

its a large semi town house built 7 years ago and i am planing on putting it along the wall that runs down the outside of the house.

I've moved tanks up to 110 gallons with gravel a bunch of times. No problem for two guys. Not sure about the stability of construction in the UK, but it does seem a concern on some of the threads here.

have a post in the hardware section about floor strength. It's all going to depend on the construction of the flooring. For example, I wouldn't consider it in my 1950's house. Creaky floorboards do not fill me with confidence.

To be honest, I've always limited my upstairs tanks to 60 gallons. But I could just be overly cautious.
