Moving 55 Gallon And Inhabitants

I need to move my 55g because i am getting wood floors in my room. I am not sure what to put my oscar in while we do the floors; he is about 9 inches. It will probably take a week to finish. Would a plastic tub release anything toxic into the water?

The big plastic storage boxes you can get from hardware/diy shops are ideal. Obviously the bigger the better. Then place your filter and heater in it and you will be fine.

as this will take only a few hours, i presume, i wouldn't bother with the filter, nor the heater. in such a confined space, both could cause problems.

put all, the fish in your tub, cover and wrap if you like.
