Evening guys!
I have a bit of a problem,
I have a 10 galloon tank which has been set up and running smoothly for 6 months now.
I change 25% of the water once, sometimes twice a week.
My water tests are always good!
However I have came home from work today and seem to have some sort of mould/fungi covering the bottom of the tank (the substrate i use is gravel and sand)
I have attached a picture below.
My test results where as follows:
pH - 7.6
Ammonia - 2.0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0-5ppm
I immeditaly changed 25% of the water, and hoovered up all the mould substance, and it looks alot better now, however I want to know if anyone actually knows what this is, how its caused and how to prevent it??
