1x convict cichlid or 1x firemouth cichlid.

you could do a little african cichlid set up

20gallons is very small i have 2x 20 gallons and ones a guppy planted disply tank and the other is a grow out tank for my little monster fish which then go into my 180gallon

but been all honest with you you can't really get anythin which is all that agressive for a 20gal mate IMO and i have been in the hobby for 6 to 7 years now.

not going to get a set up, just interested what everyone will come up with :)

serpea and black widow tetras when kept in pairs...nippy lil things! and they dont stop there....DUN!! DUN!! DUN!!

red devil ...
they can be so mean

in a 20g? I think I'd want to go larger than that for one...

For a 20g there are plenty of "aggressive" fish. Dwarf puffers rate highly, as would Neolamprologus ocellatus, but both need specialised set ups.

i'd say in a 20g shell dweller as said earlier, very defencive of their homes.

but the most aggressive freshwater fish (as you could include things like sharks otherwise) would be a dovii?

:good:

shelly cichlids. I believe neolamprologus ocellatus is a shell dweller there are several varieties. Some are apparently small enough for a trio to be kept in a ten gallon.

from what i've read, Carinotetradon lorteti. very shy fish, won't see them much, but nasty territorial bitey-things...

I had a red devil in a 29 gallon when I had no clue what I was doing. He lived for 4 years, which is weird because now I see the water quality and filtration and food and almost everything was poor. Ugh, I'm disgusted in myself. Now he's in a better home.(I hope)
