More New Fish ^^'''

Yeah I went to the LFS with intention to just look and find some new small dithers now my rainbows are gone and I found some in the form of a school of Lemon Tetras...... But I also saw the last 2 Krobia sp. Rio Xingu Red Cheek and yeah I got them.

Taking a bit of a beating from my nic but it looks like they are calming down now but they are certainly the bottom of the pecking list. But for once when I have a bumpy addition they actually run away! I know that my nic will get bored but its just annoying shes so unpredictable - she was fine with the angels and totally ignored the new tetras just the Krobia.

But yeah Im happy wanted them for a long long long time and finally got some

I would love to see the red cheeks, just interested in that whole section of the cichlid species. I am still trying to get to grips with that whole area of cichlid species really and the fact the classification seem to be quite unstable if you know what I mean. I love the body shape of these types of fish, my port acara does it for me on that front

Give them time to settle and mend any bruises (Nic's aye!) then get some pics up

Thanks guys - Im going to give them a day or two to settle in and get their show colours back before any pics.

Kal - To be fair fish clasification is a right old mess at the moment with tons and tons of well known families being cut and swapped and changed and shrunk for example Cryptoheros is now Amatitlania and more recently the Aquedens family name has now been changed too Andoacara. Which seems pretty stupid really and is going to cause a lot of confusion in the hobby IMO.

A good source for Acara types is Alf Stalsberg's website http/www.lem.net/alf/css-index-eng.htm lots of info on a lot of fish but particularly acara types his library of Aequidens has kept me occupied for hours in the past

Bit of an update - doing quite well now but still hiding quite a lot. I can tell they have a lot of character now but its just my nic thats causing an issue or two but I know again she will calm down - I actually think she is about to have a growth spurt so it might be a moody teenager at the moment

No photos just yet as they are still quite stressed I imagine they will be ready for photos at the weekend But as ever if I see a chance I will take it

well after a bumpy ride they still have not settled in properly but managed to get a decent shot tonight.

Quite worried though as I think a few fish in the tank have ich..... and Im at work all week and going to be buggered in the respect that by the time Im finished the only shop open is pets at home and they dont stock the treatment I prefer to use...... which is the water life one - has anyone used the interpet one with success?

I've used Interpet anti-ich before. Although i wouldnt say its the best, it works none the less. It was 2-3 years ago, don't know if that has any meaning toward your choice. Can you not pop to a shop on the way to work maybe?
