SO! Yeah, a little while ago, we went to Big Al's; that was the day when we got 10 male endlers and 4 white mickey mouse platies (2m, 2f), and, we asked if they had feeder fry! :D They said, "No; the new shipment comes in Tuesday morning."

Sooooo.... This evening we went, and got 27 feeder guppies! :D Well, actually, we asked for 20, but they gave us 27. I counted them by scooping up a few from the bucket they were currently in and moving them to another bucket until all were counted.

Haha, I think that the feeder guppies hate me, now; I kept picking them up in my hands out of the bucket to look at them and see if they had colours. XD

Well, anyways.... ^^; All of the fish seem to co-exist rather peacefully with them; a few *may* have been eaten but a bunch are still there; some are just a bit larger than newborn guppies and some are already half the size of a neon tetra (the size that my two feeder guppies from before are now).

Some of the more colourful ones (black & orange spots, and some green ones, too) have gonopodiums already?! Does this mean that lots of fry will be coming my way?! If no fish (no, not even the rainbow shark, who is.... I don't know how to describe it.... insanely peaceful; it's a slow mover and is like 7 or 8 inches long, well anyways) eat any fry, how will I ever get that tank's stocks under control? :shout:

 Still, though.... Feeder guppies are absolutely *AWESOME*. ^^; Haha, take that, you other non-fry producing livebearers!

Guppies that are not the victims of heavy predation will indeed reproduce out of control. The unselected guppies that you have now are just that. They are unselected. Some may have started out, a few generations back, as culls from a serious breeding program or from a similar inglorious start. What you have today are likely to have color combinations that you just don't see in fish specifically bred for particular colors or tail shapes.

You should join a feeder guppy rescue society! I have heard these exist. Or you could start your own local group. Feeder guppies are underrated, they sometimes have beautiful colors.

I have been keeping a Betta with my endlers and he is helping a little but I think the endlers have figured out how to produce more than he can eat.

Well, most of the fry were eaten by the gouramis or something. ^^; So, I'm not too worried. :p I only have around 10 left, or, at least, that I can see.... I have had fry who hide away from me, and then miraculously re-appear again 3 days later, sooooo.... :/
