i read somewhere that once this white (spot or tube??) appears by your mollies tail fin that within 24-48 hours she will give birth! WELL MY HUSBAND JUST NOTICED HER'S IS THERE! we are super excited and are preparing to move her into a little tank so when she has her babies they are safe from our other fish. any information on raising baby mollies will be greatly appreciated!

mainly -- can we feed them really finely grinded fish food???

First how big is the breeding tank?
Second I have bred and am breeding currently platy and Molly. I feed them bbs for baby brine shrimp and finely crushed flake.

i wouldnt call it a ''breeding tank'' its the little 5 gallon we had her and her tank mates in before we learned they needed a bigger enviroment and moved them into our 30gallon. there is plenty of space for the babies in there but we want to make sure that some survive! is 5 gallon enough for fry??

Yeah it will be good for now I was just making sure it wasn't a net.
Well good luck!

A 5 gallon is plenty for a single molly drop. If the female is well fed and is the only adult in the tank, it can look like this a few hours after a drop.
