I've recently added a peppered Cory but I see that they are best kept in groups, so I intend to buy him/her a tank mate. Do they have to be the same type? i.e. Do I need to buy another peppered Cory or will another type of Cory be ok ?

You should try to have at least 2 of the same species but you can have more species as well IME

You should probably get more, but you should have a group of at least 3.

I have 12 cories, 8 peppered, 2 bronze and 2 albino and they all get along well. :)

I'd like to get more ,maybe one other Peppered will do ? but I think I'm getting to the limit of my tank ( although I do have a "HUGE" canister filter on the tank which filters the whole thing every 15 mins ).

Well, what are your parameters? Only you know how full your tank is but parameters ae a good way to judge and whether your water changes are enough to cover the build up of NitrAte.

all paramiters are fine all zero , tank is cycled and there are plenty of live plants in there too.

Nitrates are btwn 10 and 25....although Im doing a water change and tank maintainance today
