I'm setting up a 3ft tank (have other smaller tanks for temporary housing ). Currently have a 3in male convict and am planning to get 2 jewel fry. Have just been asked to rehome white albino malawi zebra 3in male who is being evicted for attacking his tankmate. I have lots of plants and some rocks to provide cover in new tank.
Can these 3 species live together without starting World War 3 .Don't want my convict to get beaten up or baby jewels killed.

Jewels will definitely need a bigger tank once they are mature and can be quite aggressive.

Plus they are old world and convicts are new although I've read of people putting jewels in new world conditions without problems.

Are jewels more aggressive than convicts? The albino is an aggressive bully too, that's why his current owner is rehoming. Honestly, do all cichlids have ASBOs?
The jewels (if I get them) are 1 in babies and can go in my community tank with mollies till they grow up. Meantime would the albino zebra and convict (both 3 in) tear each other to pieces if alone in same tank. Can get dithers if necessary. Was told that jewels can go in with New Worlds as they can cope with different conditions to Malawis pH wise.
