Missing Fish!

I had 12 neon tetras and 4 panda cories in my tank

2 weeks ago i found one of my tetras dead in the tank with its tail missing and noproblems since

On checking my tank today one of my cories has disappeared and on thoroughly checking the tank it is no where to be seen

I am totally baffled!!!

Has anyone any ideas?

If its too big to get sucked into your filter then chances are it has died and been consumed by the others.

when was the last time you saw the cory ?
just wondering because if it was a day or less i really doubt that with that stocking that they could have totally consumed it before you would notice

i had the same thing a few weeks back when my sterbai cory disappeared after fully searching my tank i couldnt find him turned out he had wedged himself securely into one of the plastic plants he only had one eye when i got him so i figure he just got lost haha

just to add the cory was fine and still lives now in a friends tank happily :good:

I finished my last night shift this morning so cant recall seeing it this morning,too tired, lol. Was out for the day and went to feed them tonight and found it missing!!!

I have checked the tank and filter intake and even lifted my bogwood up to check it wasnt under there!!! Nothing!!!

hmm so practically 48 hours max ...
... remove evrything comb the gravel slightly , if its an open top tank make sure you haven't had a jumper (also if its a closed top make sure he isn't wedged in between the light and lid casing<< random but a friend had this happen to an angel :blink:
