Mika - Bengal Kitten Updated Pics

Wow! The kitties are soo gorgeous...and they make me want another..

Until I start thinking about having to clean more poo in the litter box  .
I'm getting so tired of doing that from just 8 years of one kitty!

Hi Seffie. Sorry I'm back again! Though in all the coming and going, somehow didn't notice comments on this thread again!
Thank you for posting pics of all yours - they are just gorgeous! I don't know how you cope with so many though.
It's taken a year for her to finally become a lapcap - and she's so soppy these days. And incredibly attention seeking/demanding.
Another pic snapped today - not looking too impressed!

She is just so lovely - gives me hope that one day Alfie will be a lap cat too - he is not yet one, a little ways to go yet.

I really like the way you take a photo, ever studied photography or does it just come naturally to you?

 Gorgeous cats you two. They really look like pampered kittens.

Bloo

Shaka is SOOO gorgeous. They look so relaxed in that pic. The garden pics are great too.

Thanks Alex! I know I should really say this, but Shaka is my BEST boy. Everyone who meets him in person, falls in love with him instantly. And I've had many serious offers from people saying that if ever I can't keep him, they'd take him in the blink of an eye. And people always say that they want a cat like Shaka. He truly is unique and incredibly special & dear to me. I will soon do another Shaka photo session :good:

Thank you again Seffie. I really didn't think there was much hope for her ever to turn into a lapcat. To think he cold and skittish she was for many months, peeing everywhere and literally destroying my place and terrorizing Shaka. She couldn't be further from that cat she was then. She follows me where ever I go. Literally into the shower - she loooooves the shower. And even sits staring at me on the toilet!

For the first time at the end of last year, I did a 3 day photography course to learn how to use my camera. I've had a Digital SLR for a few years now, but never knew how to use it other than in auto mode. So I still feel very much like a beginner though. But thank you for the compliments.

I know your cats are indoors - well I think they are, how do you allow them out in the garden without them jumping a fence? Would love my boys to be able to go out once in a while and just run around the garden. But hate the idea of those electric fences and collars - well my boys have never worn collars so wouldn't hold out much hope there lol

Hi Seffie. Mika was only allowed outside when she was a kitten. And even then only under strict supervision and not allowed to jump onto a fence or roam. So she's totally indoors now and won't be an outdoor cat. ANyway, she'd terrorize the neighbourhood and we would NOT be popular!
Shaka used to go out over the summer last year. But he once got gastroenteritis and had to be hospitalised for a week and it cost a *fortune* - plus he nearly died.
And on another occasion when he was allowed outside, got into a fight because he's so timid and can't stand his ground - and ended up with the most enormous abscess which left almost his entire side of his face a big gaping hole
And he's *not* road wise, so it's a death wish waiting to happen with cars speeding up and down all the time.

After those two episodes, I decided "no more". So sadly, neither are allowed outside. I'd LOVE to let them out, but it's too much of a health and life risk for them.

Thats a stunning Bengal

on a side note, ive seen some of these for sale at £500 each

Thats spot on what I paid for my boys and I am sure Bloo would have paid more than that for her silver baby - we r nuts lol, but they r worth every single penny

she's lovely

£500 is very reasonable for a bengal, I'd expect to pay anything from £500-£1500 for one  . Worth every penny though, not something most people seem to understand but when you have one it makes sense  I want another but I think 3 cats would make us "those people with all the cats"

I'm hoping I don't come home to an empty tank after this weekend (he's worked out how to open the tank :sly: )

I let my pair of cats out as they please and never had any problems thankfully, I'm quite lucky to have a golf course at our back garden and I try to discourage them from going out the front onto the road

 I'm afraid I will live in eternal denial about how much I paid for her. Not even my best friend knows! My initial intention was to possibly show - and if successful (enough), breed. But I really have no interest. So she's a happy pet.
I have to say I love her more every day. I'm not sure when that turning point came. From wanting to kill her (many times - seriously: she made me cry many times in frustration) to thinking she's just the cutest most lovable super intelligent little button. She makes me laugh every day with her antics and adorable expressions. She still drives me nuts sometimes but in a funny way - and she's a different cat to the one a few months ago. She is so affectionate these days it's hard to fight her off!

Her latest games all involves playing fetch like a dog. She loves pop caps (the plastic water/coke bottle lids). Sometimes I get woken up in the moring by a lid dropped onto my face. So that I can throw it for her! She flies like the wind trying to catch the lid (or sometimes it's a ball of wire) and then runs back at the speed of light, drops it in front of me - and faces away in the direction she knows I'm going to throw - so that she can run again to fetch. She can honestly go on like that for hours. Or until I get bored!!

Oh I'd love another too, but two is enough for now. I won't get another cat again while Shaka (my black Oriental) is still alive. And he's only just turning 8 in September this year. But that doesn't stop me from from still checking out the cute kittens on my breeder's page!

Thank you DarkEntity & dhracer

However much she cost you she is worth every penny

I nominate her for potm - using the sixth picture down on the first page :good:
