Hi i have 2 cultures of this going at the moment in tubs but the last couple of days i have been not getting much at all from them to harvest.. but before a couple of days ago i was getting loads a few times a day as you do , so i was able to feed ffish constantly all day as it was there. but now im lucky if i can get a small bit for a whole day.

does anyone know what could be wrong?

i havent changed anything or nothing has been done to them recently

How are your cultures setup (media, containers etc), where do you keep them as regards to temps

i gave up with mine, they were great for the first day then seemed to disappear! i threw them and got bbs instead

i have them in ice cream tub containers with holes cut in it and cotton wool stuffed in so they dont crawl out.

made with porridge oats and pinch of yeast keep them at room temp

IMHO forget about the yeast, I now use small round plastic pots from Tescos with one hole drilled in the top.
Your temperature seems to be the problem. Set them on top of the fish tank hood. not directly over the lighting appratus but somewhere a bit warmer. Keep an eye on them. Dont have the media too runny either. get the mix to a good stiff paste first then add a few drops of water and stir this together. inncoulate with your culture and leave alone for a few days. Harvest from the sides of the containers with a small artists paintbrush.

Microworm are a lot less hassle than hatching and harvesting BS.
