Depending on the fish you happen to get, I have a skunk loach in my 15 gallon, and he eats the snails sometimes.

will one be ok (2 would be pushing it).

its for the office 15 gal in my sig. (less the khulis and the pigmys as they are off to a new home with some friends soon)

I've got only one, mine personally didn't get along when I had two, so I gave the other away.

just to update...

I've moved things about a bit and now have 2 ladder loaches in the 15 gal (with the 2 bristle noses and 4 pristellas.

they only get to 2.5-3" and have got the snails on the run
