I like my hillstream loaches, but most are typically pretty small fish, with many peaking at about 2 inches… some of the lizard type go longer, unfortunately none have been long lived here… one that is noticeably bigger is the gold ring ( Sewellia albisuera ), which I have found to do well in an aquarium, I have two that go 4 inches in length, and a full 2 inches wide… they look similar to the reticulated ( Sewellia lineolata ), but grow noticeably larger… there are several other colorful and interesting hillstream’s, but seeing them in full color, can be challenging with their shape, lifestyle, and smaller size… what are some of the bigger ones you have run across, and which are your favorites??? the albisuera, really do look like little sting rays, with their larger size..

Always been a fan of the saddleback and will hopefully get to keep them in the future. The cow river loach, though small, is another, but I doubt they will be available from sellers anytime soon.

A fish I am completely ignorant of . I’ve never seen one in person . How long have they been around ? Our esteemed TFF members seem to like them .
