your largest hillstream loach???

[Magnum Man61 176]

I have a wide variety of hillstream loaches , and cousins, in my hillstream tank, most hillstream’s are smaller fish, some downright tiny, but this is one of my gold ring’s and it is quite large by hillstream standards, pictured here with adult kisser gourami, and adult denison barbs for. comparison…

this gold ring ( Sewellia albisuera ), is about twice the size of my largest reticulated…

I wonder if your sewellia was wild caught. My F1s & 2s are smaller than friends' from lfs. Mine breed a couple fry every year, so they're not too young/small for that

Yours looks "girly" from pectoral fin shape. Does she have some squared off pectoral finned males to "hang with"? I don't do anything to encourage them but my water is softer than yours.

there are 2 of them in this tank, though I rarely see them at the same time to compare
