Brilliant, absolutely stunning fish.

I'm getting 6 of these for my tank over the next couple of weeks. How many do you have in your tank and what else are you stocking with them?

Congrats, you'll love their behaviour I'm sure...I have 4 of these plus 1 surprise geo dicrozoster (was bought as a red head) and all are fascinating to watch, they have loads of front and are always on the move

They never stay still for a minute. Really interesting to watch :hyper: . Our only problem is we read on the forum about using argos playsand in tanks so out we went and bought some. Big mistake. Its so fine that when they sift through it the water looks cloudy so gonna have to change it sometime soon :shout:

Did you wash the sand before you put it in?

I have Argos play sand and it doesn't create a cloud when I disturb it with my fingers.

Just put 2 bags of the same sand into my tank for my geos to enjoy. Hope it doesn't cloud. Anybody else any experience of this?

Yeh we did wash it but its so fine that when they sift it it doesnt drop straight away and they constantly sift.

What I did to wash mine was put so much in a bucket half filled with water, put the hosepipe to the bottom and turned it on. I then ran the hose until the water run clean. All the cloudy water would overflow at the rim of the bucket.

Its not actual dust so its not through the whole tank just sand around where theyre sifting. It does settle quick enough but its because they are so constant that there is always some in the water

Oh, I see. I thought you meant it had turned the water cloudy.

I actually like the look of the sand forming a small cloud and then settling again. :p

Maybe I need a chill pill. Would just like it to sink straight away instead of sinking so slow. Thats makes me sound really sad

 I just laughed to myself then.

I just imagined:
*Fish disturbs sand a little* "SETTLE, SETTLE NOW! Fish, MOVE! Let the sand settle!"
