Meet My New Betta "daniel-son"

Yesterday I got dragged ( kicking and screaming ) to a golf shop in Portsmouth so my dearly beloved could part exchange his clubs. My face soon perked up when I found an aquatic and reptile shop next door .
Meet my new betta:

I wanted to get another after the sad loss of "Siam" a few months back. Daniel-son has gorgeous flowing finage and some light blue is starting to show on his back.

I wanted to call him "Pompie" because of where he came from, but my boyfriend said that sounded gay and that he needed a tough, hard guy name seeing that he was a fighter fish! We had a great laugh in the car coming up with "hard" names, but for some reason "Daniel-son" stuck. Yeah we are both 80's children and Karate Kid is in our blood!

It was a toss up on Daniel-son or Mr Miyagi If I had the space I would get another and call him that! Other "manly" names we came up with: Vin Diesel, Jet/Bruce Lee, Terminator, Hogan.....

I have a "manly" guppy who is the biggest in his tank. I settled on Leroy. I don't know why, it just sounded like a buff guy's name.
