Meet Jaws.

Looks great :). I'd love to have the space for silver sharks, personally I feel the adults need a 5' long x 2' wide, but so many of them go to such small tanks that I was overjoyed the last time I saw one in a 4' x 1.5' .

Looks impressively big compared to the other fish in there :D.

most probably patrolling his grounds :)

Should enjoy the bigger tank once it's up and sorted itself out :)

Got any other plans for what else will go into the bigger tank with him?

Yeah he a big boy :hyper: 6", Thought he would be hiding but he seems rather friendly right up at front of glass :)
they are great fish, I have on in my 4x2x2
I did have more but he killed them off, he is about 7-8" now.
Gets on very with with the flagtail prochilodus

Yeah couple more balas, Keeping my tiger barbs, and might just get Big Sailfin plec to finish it off. but things may change :)

So your Bala killed the other Balas you had

Thought they were peaceful shoaling fish? So if i buy 2 more small ones theres a good chance they will get hammered by bigger one?

no they prefer (normally) to be in shoals of 3 or more. I think I just have one with a bit of an attitude problem

:/ there may be some bullying, but I'm not sure which way it'll go. Either the big one will pick on the 2 smaller ones, or the 2 smallers ones will pick on the big one?

Big tank stocking list sounds nice :)

You going for sand like you current tank?
What's the height and width of the 6' long tank?

Will be sand. Would like it planted, but if i get a sailfin there will be no chance of having a planted tank

Hoping to get my hands on a 6x2x2

Zoe :good:

Oh he was in a tank with neons, small tetra's and guppys and platies. I thought he would have ate the neons with him being so big?

Nice size tank, and as for the pleco you may have some trouble. But you could put rocks around your plants, so the pleco is unable to root them up? Get what I mean?

Yeah I would've thought the shark would've gone for the tetra's too... unless they came out pace him and hide in places he cannot reach?
