Medium Fish Species That Can Live With Smaller Ones?

Any suggestions on a fish that will fit in a 4 foot tank which is medium atleast since all the otehr fishes im getting are small (cardinal tetras, kuhli loaches, rainbows). I want one or 2 medium fish that will be like KING of the aquarium which are beautiful.

I have angelfish in my 47g with red eyed tetras, cherry barbs and cories...they get along really well....and I have 3 angelfish

Dwarf Cichlids wouldn't really be a showcase fish though. I have 2 bolivian rams in my tank with the angels. You barely notice them as they are so small.

Yea guys im looking for the WOW factor fish. Angels are good but not spectacular. The ram and apisto's are too small. Any other ideas??

Dwarf Gourami...? If you can ignore the dreaded 'DG Disease' then they truly are beautiful fish. I had mine for 7/8 months and in that time he was by far my favourite..i now have 2 Golden Rams, and although beautiful fish, they lack the physical presence of my D.G.

I think a pair of gouramis would suit what you are looking for. There are some stunning ones out there

How about some nice rainbow cichlids, Herotilapia multispinosa. They grow to about 4 inches long and are very good citizens with peaceful fish except when they decide to breed.
