for a few days yes, but not as a permanent food

basically, good goldfish food includes MOST of the things they need and that will benefit them, livebearers have different requirements, so will need the tropical flakes, or/and tetra's vegetable flakes

There is a difference think goldfish food has more fat in it.

If you have something like the small pack that comes with a tank kit, it should be fine to feed them that. It's such a small amount, it's probably not more than a few days worth.
