Marineland Stadium Show -- 2005 Season

One of the trainers had his last day on Thursday, so I snuck out after doing my part of the show to take pictures of the show from the stadium for him. I made him a cute little photo album with all of these pictures, and he actually cried when I gave it to him. It was funny.

But then I thought, "Hmm.. I bet the people on TFF would like a sneak preview of the show!" So off I went cropping pictures and uploading them to Photobucket.
You don't get the ENTIRE show this way, it's still MUCH better to see it, but I'll do the best I can to explain everything for those who are nowhere near Marineland and will never see the show.

Which reminds me, if anyone from TFF IS intending on coming to Marineland this summer, make sure you tell me when! I'll do my best to hunt you down, I swear.

And now onto the pics!

The Introductory Sea Lion Show:

Surfer was following Mike around the stage with her nose to his butt in this one.. great for audience laughs.

This is Tide, coming off the slide and heading for the well. Coral had just dropped a stick in there, so Tide was going to crank the bucket up to get it back.

Trainers juggling rings.. It's Phil and Mike, and they tossed the rings into the water...

So Coral went to get them!

Mike tossed the sinking hula hoop out into the pool

Tide went after it, which she wasn't supposed to do!

I believe this is Splash, who was SUPPOSED to get the ring.

Mike tried to send him into the water and Splash refused..

So they got an oversized crowbar to pry him off the stage and into the pool!

Mike decided to get the basketball.

Tossed it in the water and Tide went to get it, but she dropped it.

So Mike and Phil had the audience count to three

And tried again! Tide did her flip with the ball on her nose, got back on her seat, passed it to Coral,

Coral paced and passed it to Pebbles who waved with it on her nose, and then Pebbs tossed it to Surfer who put her tail up in the air while balancing the ball!

Tide decided to give Mike a nice view, and wrapped her tail flippers around his head!

So he dove in the water with her, and they danced around, splashed each other, and then Tide went back onstage.

Splash went out into the slideout to sing for the audience.

Tide and Mike 'raising the roof' ...I love when Tide does this, she stands at the edge of the stage and bounces on her front flippers, splashing water everywhere!

And nowwww, Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome our bottlenose DOLPHINS! [I swear that's what the announcer says. ]

The dolphin show starts with my baby girl, Echo! This is her doing a spiral.

Willy doing a Rocket Ride with Storm. Willy is the trainer who was leaving. Storm pushes Willy around by his feet, they go underwater, and come back up with Storm doing a bow [regular jump] and Willy diving off of his nose.

Waterworks.. the trainers get in the water with the dolphins.

More waterworks, Willy doing the hula with Storm.

More bows. I believe this is Storm's front flip where he lands on his back, soaking the audience.

Almost the end of the show.. "And now get your cameras ready, for a picture perfect pose of our bottlenose dolphins saying goodbye!"

This is the end here. Right after the dolphins go out, the walruses come to the slideout and squirt the audience.

This is Sonja, and another trainer named Mike, but different from the one onstage.

And that's it for now! I'm hoping to get more show pictures later, but here's one more -- I managed to get one of the dolphins doing a triple bow at the end of Wednesday's show.

I can definitely take more pictures, it's just the sneaking out part that gets difficult! It's a hassle to take off my makeup between shows so I have to wear my Marineland jacket with the hood up and put on my regular pants to go out and take pics.

I'm more than happy to, bloozoo.. I know not everyone on here can come to Marineland to see the show, so I might as well make some use of the gazillions of pictures I take!

Very cool....Hey if i make a special trip down there this summer can i get special treatment (coughswimwithwhalecough)?...Keep taking pics...I love the commentary inbetween the pics...Kinda feels like im there.

LOL I don't even get to swim with the whales, DR! Dolphins at best, and that's not until later in the summer. Thoughhhh I might be able to get you picked for volunteer to meet a dolphin.

I'm spending the weekend of June 24 at the Falls so i'll definately be making a trip to Marine Land B)
