Marine fish and corals from Great Barrier Reef?

How do I build a small Great Barrier Reef biotope with an inhabitable capacity of 115 litres and a total system capacity of 146 litres? What corals and marine aquarium fish live in the Great Barrier Reef? Do I need to make it accurate to the reef itself?

You are better off buying 2 tanks and putting them on a double tier stand, then plumb them together. A couple of 3ft x 18 in x 18in tanks would work well for a coral tank and you could add a few small fish and a heap of corals. However, in Perth you will need to keep the tank in an air-conditioned room over summer so the corals don't bleach and die.

WA has its own version of the Great Barrier Reef (GBR). We have Ningaloo and there is coral reef running from Broome south to Rottnest Island. In a few years when the oceans have warmed a bit more, the corals will move further south.
