Caspers scales look thicker and more noticable than scars scales - can't really see scars scales but the week since i've had casper you can really start to see his scales are quite thick (hard to explain)
Cant see it too well in the pic - still trying to get better pic but bit hard in the blackwater
They seem to be getting like a metalicy edge to them - is he alright or is this normal ?

I don't think it's anything to worry about Pip. The scales can vary from fish to fish. Some are barely noticeable and very smooth looking and other are much thicker looking like yours.

lmao just only having read up lots on bettas but not kept them long his scales seemed totally different to scars so that what worried me , his body is also changing shape - could be cos hes getting good food now
the metallicy edging and the thickness on the scales was worrying me - they are definately thicker than the pic shows though
but am very very pleased it's nothing to worry about cos Casper ended up being one of hubbys Anniversary presents lol cos he fell in love with him so i dont want anything to happen to him

ahhhh can breathe now lol
