Male Or Female?

simple really- is my paradise fish male or female? and also is there a way of telling if they are male/female?
he/she's albino so i can't even go by colour



any ideas? oh and the second picture makes it look like its fins are really coloured- they're not you can't even see the colour normally ;p Thankyou for any help you can give

Personally i would say to young to know for sure, is this just curious or you planning to breed?

Males fins usually are very elongated, however not always the case, more intense in colour which in your case a little difficult to notice, great fish mind, can be very aggressive, esp with other of there own species or similar looking like Gourami etc.

partly curious and I'm not trying to breed (not enough room to keep them all..and i would want to keep all of them ) but i was thinking that if its a female I was going to try and get hold another female for company..plus i love them and if they didn't get along then the second was going into my other tank. Or just one of the opposite sex seeing as i have the other tank as a safty net.

I found that one out- he/she tried to eat one of my guppies (only the fancies mind, didn't care for the others) but its completly peaceful with the barbs and minnows with it now. Smart too He/she'll come over if I call or tap the water and jump for my fingers. Best fish I've got!

Do you think I'd be okay giving the second fish a go, trying to get a female just incase?

Depends on the tank size and luck really, with these types as other agressive stuff, big tanks, numbers from juvi and wait for a pairing and rehome rest, other keep singular

okay thanks I'm thinking I'll leave it- i can't risk upsetting the king of the fish I'll probably just get one for my other tank instead once I move the betta and guppy
