i have 9 females and 1 male in a 30 gallon tank I got more females to male as this is what is recommended but the male seems to just chase one female and not bother with the rest she is twice the size of the other females will this stress her out as she is heavily pregnant.

Thanks in advance

It may, some males seem to pick a favorite out of a group.

You could add more cover, such as plants, to break the line of sight.

I'll give that a try I do have lots of plants in tank but the tall plants are arranged round the sides with the medium and low plant more to the middle of the tank and lots of plants floating on the top all plastic and silk plants

I would agree to make sure you provide plenty of hiding places - such as plants as lyra suggests. This will give her somewhere to go and hide from the male and somewhere reletively private to give birth

add  3 or 4 more males,
when a group of males are  kept together  they  should  spend more time competing with each other  than chasing females
