My male angel has totally gone off the deep end this morning! He was hovering in a corner in full threat display when I turned on the tank lights this morning, then proceeded to to thrash his mate and demolish his wrigglers  . He is currently pulling up all the plants and making the heater ping off the back glass of the tank. He is absolutely furious about everything  ! I tested and everything is zero with nitrate at 25.

What the heck is wrong with him? He is in perfect health, no spots, full belly. No new adds to the tank....His poor girl is under the fiter hiding for her life. If he doesn't quit, he's going in a ten gallon time out. :sly:

give him time out! Moody Fishie :grr:

Here's another vote for a 10 gallon time out!

I have removed him to the ten gallon time out tank. He has only himself and bare glass to take his temper out on. He is currently charging the bubble filter and ripping chunks out. We'll see how long it takes him to calm the heck down.

He's found out his mate has been having an affair ;)

Seriously, mating/territorial behaviour?

Just being a cichlid, they get like that at times.

Yes....my jewel is living with the mbunas cause she couldnt play nice in my CA tank.....needless to say she has calmed down alot.

 Blimey.....
Look at my thread "quiet jewel cichlid" and you will see pictures of what she did to my Vieja. She's the smallest one in the Mbuna tank. They do not go out of their way to harass her, but they made it clear they wont take it from her.
