Malawi Cichlids Stocking (2)

Sorry for any confusion on my last post, i posted it in the wrong section!

Anyway.....I have been down to my lfs and have decided to get a malawi tank (only containing malawi's) and i forgot to ask how many i could have. I will go back in tomorrow and ask them, but would like to hear others opinions as well! !The ones that i want they have in my lfs and they only grow to 3-4 inches long! (i mean they are like miniature!!) By the way, the tank is an Interpet river reef 94 litre (20 gallon) it has a suitable filtration system too!! Hoping to hear from you, Alex

Minimum size tank for malawis is a four foot tank (around 180-200L +) so unfortunately your tank is totally unsuitable, sorry

Shell dwellers or a small Tanganyikan community could work though

It's not the size of the fish it's the fish,
even at 3-4inch there's some aggressive fish out there that need alot of space to themself..

Agree. Unfortunately you will need a bigger tank for Malawis.
