Maidenhead Aquatics

Just a thread to say well done to Maidenhead Aquatics,

i've visited about 10 of their stores around the area and have to say i've been impressed with them all.

Today i have just got back from a store in Northampton to pick up some bolivian rams, the chap told me a bit about them and warned me of their behavior when breeding - he also picked out what he thought to be 2 pairs, even though they are too young to properly sex he looked at each fish individually to judge it by the dorsal fin (he even took me to a few more cichlid tanks to show me what to look for when sexing).

After all this i paid at the till and he told me Tetra (the company not the fish ) were having a promotion on some food so gave me a handful of samples to see how i got on with them.

All in all, i was and always have been dead chuffed with the help and support these stores give, so heres a big thumbs up to Maidenhead aquatics

you are so lucky all the shops around where i live are very bad and the epople that work there don't know a thing about fish it would be great if every shop in the world would be as good as you just described the madenhead aquatics

+1 for Maidenhead Aquatics, they are really great shops.

I've bee to the MA in Plymouth and that was very good.

A bit pricey maybe, but the tanks were clean and he had some really nice, healthy fish. some lovely rescued oscars and a good marine section.

Plus he sells mature media for 1p!

Love doing tours of MA shops... you'd think i'd be sick of them though LOL

Aparently the shops in South Wales are the best ones Cardiff, Swansea, Swansea EP, Cwmbran(sp)...

They are all worth a day trip to see! One day I will do it!! They are huge!!

But bigger isnt always better

Have to say the Weybridge one is hard work the staff seem a little distant and not up to speed on Marine stuff, how ever the Woking shop seems fine

I can vouch for both stores in Northampton, all but one type of my fish came from them. One site just does cold water and tropical and the other site does cold, tropical and marine. I have found the staff at both sites very good, knowledgeable and friendly, I have also got a few good deals when buying multiple items
