Magnum Pleco Ill?

Try some shelled peas on the plec might be bored of his food.
Does he look bloated.

Last time you got a good look - were his eyes sunken? (they look like it in the side on piccy)

Looking at his belly I'd say hes a little on the thin side... now that hes seperated try feeding some high protean foods, try to fatten him up a bit.
Prawns, bloodworm that sort of thing...

You should be able to see if he's eating then ;)

If not try a little garlic on the foods - I've never used it myself but it sounds lik a miricle cure if fish arnt eating.
I checked his eyes and they don't look sunken.
He's eaten a few bloodworms tonight and the good news is the patches seem to be disappearing! :good:

Keep him isolated for a week or so and see how things go hopefull he'll pull through ;)

What other fish is he normally in with? it might be that he's not getting change to feed...

Sorry to the person who origanally posted the comment but i am having trouble with my queen arabesc :( (PLEC) he wont eat!!! i put algae wafers in. and he used to go straight to them not he sits there and looks :( ive also tried feeding his favourite cucumber but i love this little gadet that kept it on the floor and cant keep the cucumber on the floor without it floating!

Hi Wilder. We put medication in yesterday and some today, Melafix and Pimafix. He's moving about quite normally and like I say he's a good munch on some bloodworm.
The patches were more prominent on his left side but they've practically disappeared. I'm hoping we caught whatever it was in time.
I must admit I'd never really noticed if he was thin or not as he's quite small anyway. The trouble is we were feeding late evening and generally see the other plecos eat but he doesn't come out much then. We have put plenty of wafers down in his "corner" where we know he hides but that's not to say he's eating it all.
We are now going to feed late at night and keep an eye to make sure he's getting his share. I'll keep in his seperate tank for a few more days just to make sure he's ok.

With him looking abit thin just wanted to rule somethings out.
Good luck stang1.

Thanks once again Wilder and thanks to all that have replied. ;)
I will keep you posted on his progress.

If he needs looking after at all - let me know :) :)

He'd look great in one of our tanks (Lorna has always wanted a magnum) :D
