thanks mate.. i think it down to black water extract.. i kept discus in many types of waters..
BWE is trully good stuff.. it bring out the wild side from the discus.. they even put up fights with synos for food..

Hi just wondering what r the fish going to grow bigger you recon? other then discus.

beautiful tank and fish . i wouldnt say it was in any way overstocked at all . only thing that could cause problems is 2 rtbs . altho its a good sized tank. how do they get on?

They do fight if one cross another territory. But no damage at all.. I am keeping an eye on them..

Again I agree with Mark about not being overstocked particularly, Theres nothing that will grow too big but as time goes by I;d thin the angels a bit and leave the discus as the main fish

How do the red tail sharks get on with the discus? I love the red tails

Interesting your comments about black water extract.
When I was thinking of getting Discus, I asked various experts about bwe, and most seem to think it is a waste of money.

Your tank is absolutely fantastic. It looks very healthy There is no need for a bigger tank as you are at your stocking limit. Keep the tank as it is but don't add more fish.

I love the rtbs too.. It's shame you can't keep many of them together. I used to had four. As they grow I have to get rid of the small ones.. They do well with discus.. No problems so far. I am planing get rid of the butterfly fishes, pictus cats (if i could catch them..) and the zebra angels ... But not sure about the angels though as I keep them since they were 20p size.
